Getting Started

What is an autonomous AI agent?

An autonomous AI agent is a software system that perceives its environment, makes decisions, and takes actions independently — without waiting to be prompted. Unlike a chatbot that responds to questions, an autonomous agent proactively handles tasks, monitors systems, conducts research, writes content, and communicates on behalf of your business around the clock. Agents operate on dedicated infrastructure and use structured memory to accumulate knowledge over time, making them more effective the longer they work with your business.

What is the difference between an AI agent and a chatbot?

A chatbot waits for a question and answers it. An AI agent acts without being asked. Agents initiate tasks, monitor for triggers, write files, send communications, conduct research, and coordinate with other agents — all autonomously. Chatbots are reactive and limited to conversation; agents are proactive and take real-world actions across your business tools and systems. The distinction matters because chatbots require human input to do anything, while agents operate independently.

What does Agent Harbor do?

Agent Harbor builds and deploys custom autonomous AI agent systems for small businesses and marketing agencies. We design, configure, and launch agent fleets that handle administrative tasks, client research, competitive intelligence, prospecting, copywriting, communications, and reporting — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We handle all technical work so your team can focus on the work that requires human judgment and creativity.

What tasks can AI agents handle for my business?

AI agents can handle any task that is repetitive, rule-based, research-driven, or communication-focused. Common examples include: monitoring and triaging email, conducting client and competitor research, drafting reports and content, updating project management tools, scheduling coordination, prospecting and lead research, internal reporting, data entry, and performance auditing. If your team does it repeatedly and it doesn't require creative judgment, an agent can handle it.

How do I get started with Agent Harbor?

Contact Agent Harbor at anchor@agentharbor.agency or use the contact form on our homepage. We'll schedule a discovery conversation to learn about your business, identify the highest-value agent opportunities, and design a deployment plan tailored to your operations. The discovery process is straightforward and doesn't require any technical preparation on your part.

How It Works

How long does deployment take?

Agent Harbor typically deploys a custom agent system within two to four weeks. The timeline depends on the number of agents, the complexity of your existing tools, and the integrations required. Once deployed, your agents run continuously with no ongoing technical work required from your team. Simpler deployments with fewer integrations can be completed faster.

Does my team need technical expertise to work with AI agents?

No technical expertise is required. Agent Harbor handles all configuration, deployment, and maintenance. Your team communicates with agents the same way you'd communicate with a colleague — via email, chat, or existing business tools. If you can send an email, you can work with an Agent Harbor deployment. We designed the system specifically so that non-technical teams can benefit from autonomous AI without a learning curve.

How do AI agents integrate with my existing tools?

Agent Harbor agents connect to the tools your team already uses — email clients, CRM systems, project management platforms (like Trello, Asana, or Monday), calendars, communication apps (like Teams or Slack), Google Workspace, and more. No new software is required. Your agents work within your existing ecosystem, reading and writing to the same tools your team uses daily.

What is agent-to-agent (A2A) architecture?

Agent-to-agent (A2A) architecture means multiple specialized agents work together in a coordinated system. For example, a research agent gathers competitive intelligence and passes structured findings to a copywriting agent, which drafts a report, which a communications agent delivers to your team. Each agent handles what it does best, and the system operates as a coordinated digital workforce. This multiplies the value of individual agents exponentially.

How do AI agents remember information about my business?

Agent Harbor agents use deliberate, structured memory systems — not conversation history. Agents read and write organized files at the start of each session, accumulating knowledge about your clients, preferences, operations, and history over time. This means agents get smarter the longer they work with you, not more forgetful. After months of operation, your agents know your business better than most new hires would.

How many agents does a typical deployment include?

A typical starting deployment includes 3 to 8 specialized agents — each focused on a specific function like research, communications, reporting, or prospecting. As your business scales and your comfort with the system grows, Agent Harbor can expand your fleet to cover more operations. We start focused and expand based on demonstrated value.

How quickly will I see results after deployment?

Agents begin handling tasks from day one of deployment. Businesses that automate similar workflows typically reclaim 15 to 20 hours per week. Agent Harbor is built specifically to deliver that outcome from day one. The value compounds over time as agents accumulate knowledge about your business and workflows become more refined. The ROI is typically evident within the first month of operation.

Technical

Do AI agents work 24/7?

Yes. Autonomous AI agents run continuously on dedicated infrastructure. They don't have business hours, sick days, or vacations. Research agents gather intelligence overnight. Communications agents monitor inboxes in real time. Reporting agents compile data and surface insights before your team arrives each morning. Your business never stops working.

What is the difference between AI agents and traditional automation software?

Traditional automation software follows rigid, pre-defined rules — if X happens, do Y. AI agents use language models to understand context, make judgment calls, handle exceptions, and adapt to new situations. An AI agent can read an unusual email and draft an appropriate response; traditional automation cannot. Agents bring intelligence and adaptability to tasks that previously required either human attention or brittle rule-based systems.

Can I control what my agents are allowed to do?

Yes. Every Agent Harbor deployment includes rules for what agents can do on their own — defining exactly what each agent can and cannot do autonomously. Agents that send external communications, make API calls, or take financial actions require individual approval before those capabilities are activated. You set the boundaries; your agents operate within them. Permissions can be expanded gradually as trust is established.

What happens if an agent makes a mistake?

Agent Harbor's governance framework includes dry-run modes that let agents perform research and drafting without taking external actions until you approve. For sensitive operations, agents flag items for human review before acting. Agents are designed to assist human decision-making, not replace it entirely. The system is built around the principle of proving capability before granting authority.

Pricing and Security

Is my business data private and secure?

Yes. Your business data is never shared across clients. Each deployment is completely isolated at the workspace, memory, and governance level. Agent Harbor discusses specific security architecture during the discovery phase to ensure your deployment meets your requirements and industry standards. Data privacy is a foundational principle of every deployment we build.

Is my customer data safe with an AI employee?

Yes and this is where Agent Harbor differs from most AI services. Your customer conversations run on dedicated local infrastructure, not third-party cloud AI servers like OpenAI or Google. We don't share your data with outside platforms. No Big Tech data mining, no transmission to external APIs, no privacy exposure. All AI inference every conversation, task, and automation runs on hardware we own and operate. No query ever reaches an outside AI provider.

Can Agent Harbor serve medical or healthcare businesses?

Healthcare businesses that handle patient health information (PHI) are subject to HIPAA. We approach healthcare clients on a case-by-case basis — for scheduling-only and marketing functions that don't involve PHI, deployment may be possible. If you're in healthcare, book a free call and we'll be upfront about what's feasible and what isn't. We won't take on a deployment we can't do properly.

What industries do you NOT serve?

We currently decline deployments for financial advisors subject to FINRA regulation (the compliance overhead exceeds what we can responsibly manage as a small agency) and full-scope medical practices requiring HIPAA BAAs without existing compliance infrastructure. For everything else — contractors, insurance, legal, real estate, retail, professional services — book a call and we'll be honest about fit.

Can a solo operator or small team benefit from Agent Harbor?

Yes. Solo operators and small teams often benefit most from AI agents because every hour saved has a direct impact on revenue-generating capacity. A one-person operation with an agent handling research, communications, and reporting effectively operates like a three-person team. The investment pays for itself in reclaimed time within the first few weeks.

Where is Agent Harbor located?

Agent Harbor LLC is based in Bremerton, Washington, and serves clients across the United States. All communication and deployment work can be handled remotely, so your location doesn't affect our ability to serve you effectively.

Who pays for the AI — you or me?

Your Agent Harbor subscription covers all LLM inference. Every AI model call your agents make runs on our own private hardware not on OpenAI or Anthropic’s cloud infrastructure. There are no per-token fees, no per-conversation charges, and no surprise bills from third-party AI providers.

What you may pay separately are costs for external platform integrations your agents connect to outbound SMS, outbound voice calls, or paid CRM tiers. The majority of our clients run entirely on free tiers for these services. We walk you through a complete cost picture before you commit to anything.

I've tried "AI tools" before and been disappointed. Why is this different?

Fair skepticism. Most AI disappointments come from generic platforms where you're expected to do the configuration work yourself. Agent Harbor builds and deploys agents for you — one specific agent for one specific job — and we don't hand it over until it performs. You're not buying a tool. You're hiring a deployment service with ongoing monitoring. If the agent isn't doing its job after deployment, we fix it.

Do I need technical knowledge to work with Agent Harbor?

None required. You need a business email and a 15-minute onboarding call with our team. Everything else agent configuration, integration setup, testing, deployment, monitoring is handled by us. You interact with the finished agent, not the machinery behind it.

What's included in the setup fee?

The $997 setup fee covers your intake review, agent persona design, integration setup with your existing tools (CRM, calendar, email, etc.), knowledge base configuration, full testing, and deployment. You get a finished, working agent — not a template to configure yourself. The setup fee is waived on all annual plan commitments.

Do you offer a money-back guarantee?

Yes. All plans include a 30-day money-back guarantee. If your deployed agent isn't performing as expected within 30 days and our team hasn't been able to resolve the issue, we'll refund your first month's subscription payment in full. The setup fee is excluded from the guarantee since the build work is already complete.

Why do I get to name my primary agent?

Because it's your agent, not ours. Every Agent Harbor deployment starts with a named primary agent — Scout, Anchor, Atlas, Sage, Beacon, or anything you choose. It's branded to your business, configured around your voice, and deployed as a digital team member. We think that distinction matters.

What's the difference between a primary agent and a subagent?

Your primary agent is your outward-facing digital team member — the one your customers or contacts interact with. Subagents are specialist operators working in the background, each with exactly one job: one handles scheduling, one manages inbox triage, one produces weekly reports. They coordinate through Agent Harbor's A2A (agent-to-agent) architecture, but each stays in its lane. This specialization makes the whole system more reliable and easier to audit.

What if I need more agents than my plan includes?

You can add single-function subagents to any plan at any time. Add-on pricing scales with volume: $97/month each for 1–3 additional agents, $79/month for 4–6, and $59/month for 7 or more. Each add-on agent includes full setup and ongoing monitoring just like your plan-included agents.
