Rejects cookie banners for you. Then checks what still fired.

A free browser extension for Chrome, Edge and Firefox. It presses the “reject” button on cookie banners it recognises, sends the Global Privacy Control signal, and then shows you, on your own device, which known trackers still contacted your browser after you rejected.

  • Rejects, never accepts. If a banner has no usable reject button, or the button does nothing, it says “Couldn’t reject here” instead of guessing.
  • Verifies. “Rejected · 3 trackers still fired”, or “Rejected · 0 known trackers so far” (not a clean bill of health), with each tracker’s host and cookie, for that visit.
  • Private. Everything is checked on your device. No account, no analytics, no telemetry, nothing sent anywhere.
  • In your control. Pause one site or switch it all off; switching off removes everything it added (pages already open keep the Global Privacy Control property until reloaded).
  • Free. No ads, no paid tier.

What it is not

It reports what it saw on one visit. It is not a legal assessment and not a finding about whether any site follows the law. Trackers that are not in its small built-in list show as “unclassified”, which is not the same as clean. HttpOnly and third-party cookies are invisible to any extension. It does not reach banners inside another site’s frame, and a banner that insists on a real mouse click will show “Couldn’t reject here”. In our own synthetic tests, 1 of 18 non-cookie dialogs (a deliberately tricky look-alike) was clicked by mistake; the popup always says which button it pressed.

Other tools

Consent-O-Matic, Ghostery’s Never-Consent, Ninja Cookie, Cookie Dialog Monster and Super Agent also deal with cookie banners, and some browsers have this built in. We haven’t compared features one by one; try what fits you. Reject & Verify rejects banners it recognises and lists the known trackers it saw afterwards on that visit.

Own a website?

If trackers still fire after a visitor rejects, that is worth knowing before a regulator or a customer asks. ConsentProof is being built to check your own site on a schedule and keep the evidence. It is not open yet.
